Oscar Night happens only once a year but thanks to the Internet we can come back to award-winning movies any moment. Today we will encourage you to create “Oscar Day” for yourself during quarantine and (maybe one more time) watch some of the award-winning classic movies. We prepared for you 10 recommendations of movies that you should know. All of them won an Academy Award for Best Picture.

Story is happening during the Civil War. American officer has been sent to an abandoned place. Over there he gets to know some local Naitive Americans with whom he starts an unexpected friendship.
The silence of the lambs (1991)
Legendary Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter is probably the most recognizable cold-blooded murderer of all time. It is worth to see it if only for the incredible acting and chemistry between the two main characters.
Schindler’s List (1993)
The movie is based on the true story of Oscar Schindler who managed to save 1100 lives (mostly with Jewish roots) during World War II. As an owner of a factory in which worked mostly Jewish people he decided to do something about their suffering that they’ve been seeing so much.
Forrest Gump (1994)
It’s a very moving story about opportunities that live brings in front of us. Main character’s optimism and positive approach to life is indeed contagious. It’s rather impressive to the viewer how Forrest is able to handle all the life struggles that are coming his way.
Titanic (1997)
Legendary British cruise ship is heading on a trip to America. Rose, who is a beautiful and rich yet unhappy aristocrat, encounters poor yet very talented painter Jack on board. They don’t know yet that this meeting will change their life forever…
American Beauty (1999)

That’s a history of sensual, vaudeville singer Roxie Hart who was charged for a murder of her former lover and becomes a celebrity thanks to her not so honest lawyer.
Crash (2004)
In the modern city of Los Angeles, Christmas is coming. All of the sudden, in about 36 hours the life of the group of characters totally changes. They are being forced to face unexpected challenges which they don’t know if they can handle. Are they as good people as they seem to be?
No Country for Old Men (2007)
This one is a dark thriller by Coen brothers turns into existential drama. Near the Mexican border Llewelyn Moss finds a package of heroin, 2 million dollars and a lot of dead people. He didn’t know that after he took this package, he would be followed by a psychopathic killer.
